Under the Weather

Today I woke up feeling a little under the weather, I don't really know why I said under the weather but I noticed while at my co-op job on Bay Street Toronto that it was bad manners to say that I was sick. I don't really know why this was but being the eager co-op student who wanted to excell in the business world I adopted the lingo. Thinking about it now I wonder why it is good business etiquette to blame the weather for my lazyness and coughing and fever. I would have thought that in the business world it would make more sense to be responsible for your actions and just say, my body is tired, week and in the mists of fighting a virus. Maybe blaming the weather has something to do with the fact it is un uncontrollable part of nature or maybe it is something that we can still bill for our time . Well either way I think its stupid blaming the weather for my body's white cells being a little week against whatever nasty thing it is fighting. So until my next co-op job (which is in like 3 weeks) I would like to make it clear:

No I'm not feeling under the weather; I am sick and I'll be under my covers if you want me.
