Ok so I figure that I have seen many odd things throughout my life that most things wouldn't surprise me however this wasn't the case this long weekend. The big city had a big festival where there were tons and tons and tons of people. Prices of everything from gas to hot dogs went crazy high. There was traffic left right center. All of this I guess was normal however the part of this parade that surprised me is that people at night just stood on the street and watched other people stand. There was no live music, there was nothing going on other than people in a huge queue checking out everyone else and tons of cops at every corner. They even had provincial, neighboring city cops and cops on horses.

This made no sense to me, if your going out make sure that you go out to do something not to just stand around. People with hot cars who are trying to "drive" on this street of standing people you are doing nothing but making smog. Come on people, go dance, celebrate, do something to celebrate your culture, don't just stand there and check people out.
