Countdowns
Ever since university I seem to have some sort of countdown or time marking in my mind. First year it was always a countdown until I got to go home to home cooked t-bone steak. After that it was always a countdown to my new term and location as well as a countdown of my last days. I have also been counting down my days of work and school. I also have random counts for things I have accomplished such as days gone to the gym or exams completed or pages of work term report done.
I don’t know if people other than university students really have all this counting of events/time. I mean it would be odd to see a full time employee counting down work days or time before they get to move on to their next adventure. Maybe its just the way university life is, especially co-op life. You become a nomad you expect tons of random things to happen and not to last. Since I must admit to like this countdown I will use the last 5 months of university to keep the counting going.
For this term, I have 7 days of work left, 15 mandatory walks to the financial district, 11 days left in the big city, minimum of 2 hockey games and 1 practice left and a maximum of 5 hockey games and 3 practices left, 3 potential street festivals left, two sections of my work report left….Also its almost been 5 months with my man Amitab, 5 months after my detox, 11 months of playing hockey and 3 years of living in Ontario
