Classes Cancelled

Every Monday I have class at the bright and early time of 9:30. I actually really enjoy this class but I think that I would appreciate it more if it was later in the day. This particular morning I was feeling super tired for no apparent reason and was debating going to class. I ended up convincing myself that I should go to class and learn something. So after much effort I was walking into class when I noticed a nice little typed sign saying that my class was cancelled. I didn't know if I should feel happy because I could go back home and nap, or if I should feel mad that I actually made it to class only for there not to be class or if I should feel concerned that the university still made me pay $13 for that one class which didn't happen.

That is right every class is worth a grand total of $13. Which makes you not want to miss many but really do you pay for each class in university or do you pay for the end credit? I mean for someone who never goes to class but passes the course he didn't really lose anything. Where as the person who went to every class but failed lost all their money. So how can one associate the money you pay with the end result of a credit and a piece of paper?
