Everyone wakes up on different sides of the bed. However just before they do so there is always something or someone who ends up disturbing their REM cycle or lack there of. There is always something negative associated with wake up calls, alarm clocks and sometimes even the sun which wakes you up. Don't get me wrong, when you have a meeting or a event in the morning we'd all want to wake up and attend these things.I think the method you wake up in the morning greatly determines how your attitude will be throughout the day. If you get woken up in a soothing manner or by someone you love or by the smell of something you enjoy then your day without doubt starts off well. On the other hand, if one has a loud annoying buzzer every morning then one can see how this would be painful.
I personally love to wake up to the smell of nice food and especially coffee/chai. I don't know what it is about smell that just makes me smile and anticipate a good day. The problem however is that means someone had to wake up before me to make it. This is probably why for Mother's/Father's Day breakfast in bed is so appealing. If your a grouch in the morning try switching what wakes you up, even if its the beeping from your alarm
