Family Vacations

When does one grow too old for a family vacation? You know when your attention span and your idea of fun are different then those from your family? Recently I experienced what should have been a good family vacation turn into boredom which then had us leaving ahead of the schedule time. I don't really know why this has happened, maybe its because my sister and I are no longer young so sleep less and need to be entertained for a longer time. Maybe its because we are both legal age and so the night scene is more appealing to us than our parents. Maybe all the computer and TV has lessened our attention span and so we cannot enjoy the simple beauty of nature. Maybe technology has made it too easy for us to be in constant communication with our friends that one week without having a telephone or internet leaves us feeling lonely. I mean it doesn't make sense that a road trip with friends with random driving, crash on someone's floor is better than enjoying lakes in the mountains in a nice hotel. Maybe its just a part of growing up.
