School Children
Over the past two months I have ran into various different types of people while living on residence in the Big City. Most of which are students who are taking summer course, or conference people. However on my floor there is a mother and daughter family. I have run into this family at least once a week on the elevators. The daughter who I would guess is maybe in grade 6 must go to some private or catholic school since she’s in a uniform which reminds me of my fun days in secondary school. What I find funny is not that she loves to show off her lululeamon hoodie or tries to alter the uniform with brand name accessories but rather that she has one of those rolling back packs.
Really, who in grade 6 has so many books or whatever that they need a rolling back pack? I remember having to wear my books on my back like pretty much everyone else. I mean its one thing to wear lululeamon and pretend to be athletic and its something else entirely to be a snotty little girl/boy too good to carry a backpack. Even in my private school you’d get beaten up if you brought one of those rolling backpacks. Children these days…

I hear ya sista! Everyday on my way to the workplace I encounter a gradeschooler with a suitcase bookbag and one of those long umbrellas (when rain is forecasted). It is like they are 9 yrs old going on 45 yrs old!
