Niches

I believe its important to have niches everywhere you go. I consider myself to be in a period in my life where I feel like a nomad. I am never in any place for more than 4 months and therefore I make it a goal of mine to find a place in every city which I can call my niche. In Calgary my niche would be Princess Island Park and the Eau Claire Area. I love this place for its nice paths, nature, random events, great view of the city and well kept grass. It’s the perfect place to pass around a soccer ball, have a water fight, go roller-skating and just sit around and ponder. In Waterloo I have two places which I would call my niches. The first being Waterloo park. This is a local park which is just on the boarder of campus and which has a little of everything, from lamas (SHELBY) to water park, bbq pits and soccer fields. The second which is the best for reflecting and exploring on your own is Colombia Lake, the surrounding of the lake is one of the most peaceful places I have found in the summer, and in the winter it’s the best place for trayboarding. My four month niches I have found include, rideau cannal near Bank Street, in Ottawa and Dundas Square in Toronto.

If you have not found your niche in which ever city you are in, I strongly recommend to start the search.
