Victoria Day

Its the Friday before the long weekend; to be precise it’s the Friday before the Victoria Day long weekend. Victoria Day I’ve been told is the birth/death date of Queen Victoria of England. I live in Canada. Never the less, I love Queen Victoria, after all she is much better than the Elizabeth’s and Henry’s and all the rest of them. She must be because I get a paid day off to remember her; which of course I will, while I am stressing about my exam. I’m sure that all of you will be doing the same, spending the day in morning, for the loss of such an amazing queen.

Ok Jokes Aside, I doubt any of us think about Victoria on the May long weekend. In fact some of us don’t even bother calling it Victoria Day long week but rather May 21, or May long weekend. I don’t even know what was so good about Victoria that we in a country across the Atlantic Ocean feel the need to celebrate. Well either way, keep up the good work in the royal house, and hopefully someday we will have a long weekend for every month.
